Default Highway

So the other day I thought i would like to try doing some scenery with my scratchbuilt highway. The ground cover isn't the best and I would like to improve in that area. Hope you like it and I would love to hear any advice!

The area looks very good. One idea though would be to try and merge the road into the scene more. At the moment the edges drop off, so what you could do would be to pile 'dirt' up agains the edges.

you can use fine sand such as the stuff for fish tanks or sandpits, mixed with some water and pva.

Looks very good to me,a bit of blending at the edges is needed as I read you and Tom are on to that.

I like what you've done. A bit of air-drying clay would also work to disguise the edges. Dirt cheap at craft shops.
You could even work some fine sand into the surface of it before it sets.

Looks ok to me nice job what scale are the cars in this layout
The reason why I am asking is I would like to model my layout in the 1950s and 1960s
Being that I would like to keep my layout all steam.
But sadly the 50s and 60s cars and trucks are very hard to find especially if your try to model an Australian theme.
My theme is modelled on a place called Lily Bank a bit of a fantasy and some realism included as the place does exist up in Queensland Australia also it exist in the United Kingdom
The reason I used this name is because the school in my layout has Lily Bank on it so rather than go and make a new sign for the school I decided to model my layout on this name.
Sorry to bore you with all this useless info I do ramble on donít I
But anyway looks great good job.
