Cool my diorama!

hello all

i got told by one of the members that i should try make a diorama before starting my layout and sense i don't have the plans or money at the moment am gonna give it a go

my plan is to make a bridge crossing a stream

the idea came from a bridge near me only 2mins away

but am not sure where to start
should i start by getting pictures of the bridge
and what baseboard would you use ??

thanks
kieran

Its always useful to have pics of what you are modelling to give you an idea of what it should look like. I use MDF on a small frame to give it structure, however there are things such as thick foam (thers a big thread about foam going on at the moment), which is useful espectially if you are modelling something with alot of relief. Dont forget to take some construction photos for us all to see. Good luck on your project!

Well kieran, it really can make the difference between a so so looking railroad layout and something to be proud of at a later date. Making a diorama or module can help a lot.
