The Merc convt is coming along. Here it is with a crunched & rusted Qtr panel made of an aluminum baking tin.

I found another use for the tool I made for making corrugated roofing in HO , it makes pleated uphostery for junk cars pretty well. Also another use for the foil in cigarette packs-- yup--- upholstery. Here is the tool & the rear seat for the merc.

You mean next on this car? Or do you mean what will the next car be?
I'll tell you both.
Next for this car is to finish the interior, build a convertable top for it, some more underhood details, some lights, & some sort of suspension & wheels.
Next project I think will be finishing up the 50 Hudson pickup & then I'm going to make a run out & junked 34 Ford Jalopy stock car. There is always one or two of those hanging around a junk yard.
Here is a couple pics of the "stock" I have to choose from for the yard.
Good thing I don't have a wife around to ask where about 300 bucks went!!

That's a very nice batch of cars and you are planning on wrecking them!!!
I'm surprised the old model car protection squad haven't caught up with you yet. Better start looking over your shoulder. Ha Ha.

Thanks Jack --- It's going to take quite a while to get them all wrecked, then I'll build a diorama for them. Too bad there are not enough HO cars available --then I could put them on the layout I'll build when I retire to Colorado!. On the other hand it's difficult enough to do in 1/64 , trying it in HO would be CRAZY.
I got the front seats done for the Merc. Now to work on a tattered top.

I also found a source for tiny springs-- small enough to be hood springs. I showed them on another forum & someone said that Kadee coupler springs are abot the same size--- nope , BUT, Kadee springs will work for suspension springs in 1/64. The little clasps should be available from Michaels so you don't have to raid the Jewelry box.

You should crush some and stack them up like in a wrecking yard. Good stuff.
