Default Bachmann Baldwin 4-6-0

was wondering if anyone owned a Baldwin 4-6-0 in HO scale who could tell me how good it works. just got back from a model train show and a guy had 2 of them and said that it cant pull very many cars, and is horrible when it comes to grades. does anyone know if this is true?

Well I have not got the H0 4-6-2, but I do have a 0-6-0 Bachmann H0 and it pulls very well indeed and upgrades.

Did he say how many cars he was trying to pull with it?
Some people have somewhat unrealistic expectations from what is a small loco, if it won't handle 20 or more cars they rubbish it .
Like Paul, I have the 0-6-0 and have no complaints about it , but I'm only moving 8 cars as the maximum (in a flat yard too).
I do want to eventually get one though, some time in the distant future.

Mate, we all learn by our mistakes. If someone gives you advice based on fact or his past experience, then it is worth listening to and considering. But if it's just 'you don't use that board because I didn't' then they are best off ignored.
If you are happy with what you have done to date, then that's fine. You only have to please yourself.

A decoder will fit in the smoke box of the 0-6-0, and mine runs great through turnouts.
