Happy to see your works progresses,
I've met a Tunisian guy on a French forum, he has really to start from real scraps of whatever origin to build his models. |

Outstanding work. What a challenge to have to kitbash almost everything. Well done.

Hello Erin,
I live in Brasil and my locos are mostly Frateschi (V8, U5-B, G-12 A1A, G-22CU, U-23, and a Ten Wheeler). What do you think about them? I think they are great value, as they run smoothly (better than Model Power, and even some Bachmann and Athearn) nicely finished and very cheap, compared to imported ones. Many compliments for your modelling ability. Roberto |

I watch your work as well, it is going well as I observe. Frateschi is better than most of the standard cheaper models like Lima (the former models) in terms of its ability to move slowly, I am happy with its features until now compared to its low cost. |

Turntable tests and ballasting work of my new layout have been completed. Roco turntable connects the main route with the depot area. I utilised real sand coloured black together with dark ready-made ballast on the depot area. Ballast on main route and station area is from ready-made Noch ballast rolls

It's looking good.
When you say "real sand" I hope you don't mean sand you gathered from behind your house or something, because you have to be careful about iron that could be attracted to the motors in your engines.

Well Rick,
Noch uses real sand glued on the track rolls and they warn to check the remaining sand before actual use. I did the same on the depot area but cleaned several times. Thank you for your warning I should be more careful and "risk" my older locos at tests. |
