Another day out with Walmington Pier Tramway for Barbara and I - this time a local charity show only 12 miles from me at Botesdale, near Diss in aid of the Suffolk Accident Rescue Service. It was a fairly quiet show with 8 layouts and 3 traders.

Here's WPT all set up and ready for action:

Cheers,

Dave

Not quite the last show of 2009, at Bressingham Steam Museum - only 15 miles from me!!!

Colin French launched his new 'O' Gauge boxfile layout 'Foxbile Brewery'.

Maldon Market Hill - EM in 5ft 6ins long.

One of Bressingham's residents put on a closing show for us!!

Well this was the last show of 2009 for Walmington Pier Tramway: Norfolk Railway Society at Porlingland Village Hall (converted from a large 'tin tabernacle'), it was a charity show in aid of the local church with 11 layouts and 3 traders, it was very well attended and so busy that even the NRS tombola stand was empty with all prizes won 2 hours before the exhibition closed!!

Was at the Norfolk Railway Society exhibition on 30/01, it's different because of its unusual schedule:

0930 onwards - Arrive and set-up
1200 - Lunch
1300-1700 - Exhibition hours
1700 - Dismantle
1800 - Buffet
2000 - Last one out switches off the lights!!

That's what I call a 'civilised' exhibition!!!

Had a great time with WPT and Essellete, one of Bob Hughes (Blackcloud) micro-layouts now handed over to me, it was Essellete got more attention than WPT!!!

Mid Suffolk Light Railway Lamplight Evening - 20/02/10

An unusual event having an evening exhibition by oil lighting at a preserved railway - but it was an oustanding success!!!

Three layouts were there all from the Stowmarket area, my Walmington Pier Tramway (no photos this time):

Martin Edwards OO 'Minim Yard':

All 2ft x 1ft of it with 2 sector tracks!!!

Carl Harper's On16.5 'Stoney End':

The evening included a talk on the MSLR, raffle, unlimited soup, and brake van rides:

Brockford Station

Ruston No.5 ready to propel the brake van out on another trip.

Last trip back carrying the buffer stop light from the other end of the line!!

Despite the cold weather, it was fun!!!
