Hi!
Maybe this has been asked before, but where can I buy O scale ballast, that can be shipped to Europe (all the sites I visited will ship only to U.S) ? |

Sell various sizes, and give size guide for different scales at the top. |

Track ballast in prototype is usually 1.5" to 2.5" give or take.
SCALE---FINE------MEDIUM----COARSE Z------2.2"-7.3"----7.3"-11"---11"-18.3" N------1.6"-5.3"----5.3"-8"-----8"-13.3" HO---- 0.9"-2.9"---2.9"-4.3"---4.4"-7.2" S------0.6"-2.1"---2.1"-3.2"---3.2"-5.3" O------0.5"-1.6"---1.6"-2.4"---2.4"-3.9" That table then suggests that Medium ballast would be the best, though you could mix bothe the Medium and Coarse to get more variation in sizes. |

Much depends on what type of ballast you want to reproduce, but I used the sand used for birds' cages it's cheap and good looking!

In our aeria we go to the feed store and buy chicken grit, or turkey grit.
