Default Ghost River Update

Below is a picture of the most recent addition to Camp 1 infrastructure on the Ghost River Rwy.

Both structures are scratchbuilt, including the ladder, with scale wood cut in my shop. The only commercial items are the pulleys, the spout (a straw), bolt detail and the counterwights (spru). More service detail and a small cabin still need to be added to the scene. A wood burning Climax is the loco assigned to Camp 1, hence the need for the wood shed.

Hope to have more updated photos taken soon. Lots has been happening.

Roy

Finally, my annual maintenance session is complete. This started out when I began entering all of my equipment into the Easy Model Railroad inventory program. This is an excellent and user friendly inventory and operations program. It can be downloaded here: http://easy-model-railroad-inventory...d/download.htm

Improvements to the layout include painted rail, a new turnout control panel, roundhouse power control panels, painted fascia, car card boxes/trays, additonal first generation CPR locomotives, more rolling stock and improvements to scenery and building placement. All track has now been treated with CRC 3-36, so I'll just have to see how well it works.

My car card system has been completed with the help of the Easy Model Railroad program. Still lots of waybills to create, but that will happen as time progresses. My operatng system is going to be sequential and waybill driven via manually created waybills using mailing labels and blank business cards. Rolling stock will be assigned as required by the waybill and will be selected on a next available system. All logging/branchline locomotives are assigned daily runs and the CPR locomotives will rotate sequentially from the staging yard for trains originating there.

Three photos are shown below. others can be viewed at: http://s39.photobucket.com/home/Grampy1dad/index

Thanks for looking and have fun.

Roy

Very cool, Roy. I like the control panels. How do the switches relate to the turn table? The ones for the tracks I assume are power. Does the one in the middle energize or rotate the table?
