I watched the clip John. That should sound good going around the garden. Pity about the wind flutter or have you been able to isolate that??
Loco is starting to look great now.

"pointing man" is back !!

Tonight on the way home I solved the grill problem, the local car spares shop sells aluminium mesh for body work repairs !!

This has been cut with scissors and stuck in, then some 10thou plasticard cut into strips to create a frame. I have also managed to get the general roof layered up to the centre point. When this has dried it will be sanded and filled with plastic padding (again from the car shop)

Very nice, Sure hope she doesn't have to enter the door though. Could be tight.

Did you go into the auto parts store knowing that you were getting the mesh, or did you stumble across it? I wonder what ideas people come up with just wandering around different sorts of stores.

As usual, the engine looks fantastic. It's great that you staged its construction with workers in hard-hats.

I did know they were likely to have some mesh but i went in for primer.

I couldn't put them off any longer, those tricky front corners of the roof !! the day started with last nights filler...

and then progressed with thanks to sandpaper

Well done. I am really impressed with your work. To think that a few day's ago this was just a pile of plastic sheet.
