Default Track Painting

Before laying ballast i would like to paint the ties and rails. I did it several years ago on my last layout, but cannot remember exactly what i did. I know it required several different colors of spray paint, but that's about it. Has anyone used a similar method or a completely different method that created great results? Let me know!

I don't know what you did - but I've used a combination of Testor's Light Earth and Dark Earth
