I am deeply saddened to read this news.

Paul will be missed by forum members around the world and those who, like me, were lucky enough to have had the good fortune to meet him at exhibitions.

Please accept my sincere condolences.

David, my thoughts reach out to you this day. It is a day filled with sadness, and yet jubilation that he is finally free from his diseased body and able to commune fully with Our Lord.

Your own healing can begin now, and it will continue once you have your father laid to rest.

God rest his soul.

David,

Forgive me but I have taken the liberty to cut and paste your OP to these forums:

Cheshire Railway Modellers
Grumpy Modellers
Model Trains Interactive
New Railway Modellers

Model Rail Forum and RMWeb were previously notified by others.

This is indeed saddening news. My condolences to you and your family David. I cannot think of anything more to say about Paul that hasn't been said by others here already.

A great man is now at rest. But I feel privellaged that not only did I have a good friend in Paul but I still own one of his great logging railways. He made my dreams come true of being able to enjoy model railroading and whilst deeply saddened he has passed away I am happy he is now at peace.

My condolences

Phil

Qube... I am saddened by the news of your Father's passing, as we have all lost a good friend and the modeling world has lost one of it's icons. My deepest sympathy goes out to you and your mother.

Even though this bad news was not completely unexpected, it still made me sad.
Respect for a great modeller and person.
Rest in peace, Paul... you will be missed.
Sincere condolences to the family.
