Default Carl Arendt

For those who follow Carl Arendt's Small Layout Scrapbook and Micro Layout Design Gallery, there is some sad news to pass on. Carl is terminally ill in hospice care and is not expected to live very long.

His writings and designs have been an inspiration to many over many years. I'm sure our thoughts are with him and his family.

A lot of modellers have taken a lot of inspiration from the Small Layout Scrapbook and Carl's enthusiasm for microlayouts came across in personal email communications as much as on the website.

I sincerely hope that he is in no pain and his wife has her family around her.

Sad news indeed. His website is one I often go back to and has served as a well spring of info and ideas.

Our thoughts are with him and his family.

Really can't find words, I'll never forget how kind he's been when I asked him for help. I hope he will spend his last days in the best way possible.

Thank You Carl, if it wasn't for you and your website, a lot of us would not be in this hobby now. I am one of many who owe you a sincere debt of gratitude.

I hope the website continues as a library at least.
