Default Re: Where can I buy basswood?

It depends on what your going to do. Carve you use Basswood. For models you use Balsa.

Try 'Model Junction' based in Slough, Berkshire but with Online facilities. They stock Midwest Products Architectural Lumber Basswood strips (USA import) under "Scratchbuilding Materials", in a range of sizes which are suitable for multi-scale use and have conversion sizes printed on each packet. Not cheap but good quality.
Also available from 'Expo Drills and Tools', see their online catalogue under Materials.
