Default O scale ballast

Hi!

Maybe this has been asked before, but where can I buy O scale ballast, that can be shipped to Europe (all the sites I visited will ship only to U.S) ?

Sell various sizes, and give size guide for different scales at the top.

Track ballast in prototype is usually 1.5" to 2.5" give or take.

SCALE---FINE------MEDIUM----COARSE

Z------2.2"-7.3"----7.3"-11"---11"-18.3"
N------1.6"-5.3"----5.3"-8"-----8"-13.3"
HO---- 0.9"-2.9"---2.9"-4.3"---4.4"-7.2"
S------0.6"-2.1"---2.1"-3.2"---3.2"-5.3"
O------0.5"-1.6"---1.6"-2.4"---2.4"-3.9"

That table then suggests that Medium ballast would be the best, though you could mix bothe the Medium and Coarse to get more variation in sizes.

Much depends on what type of ballast you want to reproduce, but I used the sand used for birds' cages it's cheap and good looking!

In our aeria we go to the feed store and buy chicken grit, or turkey grit.
