Default Atlas forum project - the switch tower

Is anyone here participating in the Switch tower project, to build an Atlas signal tower in an individual way.

I hope to post some pics of mine later this week.

I was hoping to get something presentable for tonight, but I spent Father's day tidying up the railway and history bookcases - far too many books, and some I forgot I had.

-must learn to read.

What a neat idea for a modelling challenge. I'd love to see what can be done with this ubiquitous kit.

I even have one gathering dust - albeit in O scale. Perhaps I should give this a try.

Hi Jon,
Yes, the Atlas signal tower is a great project to bash around, I made a complete new roof for mine way back in 1994, here's a photo of my very old railroad from that time.

Nice roof - totally changes and individualises the model.

I hope to have some pics of mine ready to post this weekend - better late than never.

Go on Steve. I'm keen to see how much more detail you can get into the O gauge model.

I've been doing some more to the Atlas signal tower over the weekend, and now have some pics to post of the three-quarter finished diorama.

Unfortunately Railimages is down at the moment.

Oh well!

Plan B.

I have downloaded some pics of the diorama to my MSN Group site and will try to link to some of them, seeing as the Railimages site is still 'cattled' (broke)

There is still some detailling to do to the ground cover and there's not nearly enough junk yet, but a few more evenings should see it finished. The diorama is 3.5" by 9", for them's that want to know.
