Off topic, but the 'background' is none other than the Mid-Suffolk Light Railway or 'Middy' ran "from nowhere to the middle of a field" for almost 50 years and closed in 1952. In 1990, a group restored a short length of the trackbed with original Middy buildings and created the Mid-Suffolk Light Railway Museum at Brockford.

Another show with WPT today, at the Colne Valley Railway, Castle Hedingham, Essex. Most of the layouts and their owners cooked in a marquee in the stifling heat, 4 of us were lucky to be in preserved Post Office Stowage Van 80429

And WPT fitted perfectly on the clerk's table!

With a very comfortable swivel chair!!!

Coach was very comfortable for we had the loading doors and the end gangway doors open affording us a lovely breeze!!!

Just had a very busy weekend with Walmington Pier Tramway at the Festival of Model Tramways at Kew Bridge Steam Museum:

Barbara (Piermistress) with WPT in the Engine Hall.

Looking down onto WPT from the gallery.

We had a great time there and for the 2011 show, its been suggested that WPT and John Prentice's small tramway layout 'Torhampton on Sea' should be joined together at right angles to each other and have two layouts working together.

Sounds interesting?

Cheers,

Dave

P.S. Had front wheel blow-out on way home and the first time I've changed a wheel in years. Car had its 40,000 miles service and first MoT (Statutory vehicle examination for cars over 3 years old) on Monday and I'm now 1000 lighter!!! Needed 4 new tyres, new power steering drive belt, new pollen filter as well as the usual oil and filter changes - OUCH!!!!!
