As a complete novice in the world of 7mm modelling, i am looking at the possibility of building a minimum space layout in the style of the light railways of colonel stephens, what are the smallest radious points available as i dont feel up to building my own track, i will only be operating small tank locos, no bigger than panniers/jintys etc.any advice would be greatfully recieved. thanks in anticipation.

Hi and welcome into the "big" world
I think that the smallest radius points are, or better were, the old Lima/Rivarossi's.
Anyway point building is not so difficult as it seems, just need a bit of care!
Happy modeling
Franco
