Haven't tried the video so far, but photos look good - macro down to 1 centimetre! ....and before you ask - it's BLACK!

I'm keeping my Sony CD400 until it quits or I can't get the mini-CD's for it any more. I just bought a Sony Adapter Ring VAD-S70 (adapts so you can use 52mm 'stuff') . . and a Close Up Lens kit .. containing lenses +1+2+4+10. Guess I will figure this out when it gets here. I know a Macro lens would have been better but .. I only do occasional/hobby closeups and figure this might work.

Not here right now. Use a Canon G2 we've had for years.
It is such a good camera that when it got dropped on the lens and knocked out of alignment I sent it in for a $90 fix.
Works great again.

Recently bought a Canon DC330 used at a great price. The camera and video are very good. Now to get the nut behind the butt to become better at taking video.

There are some great prices on used cameras out there. Do some research, read the OLD reviews and then look for a camera that someone is selling because they upgraded to a newer model. Usually the people that upgrade have taken care of their cameras and you can get a very good older model, very cheap.
