I've been away from AMR for quite some time and have been scrolling through this thread for the past half hour or so. My jaw has been hanging open the whole time.
Excellent work! I really wish I had the time, money, space, and patients to actually build my own layout. But viewing and reading about other people's work will have to suffice for now (: |

Outstanding work, Alain. I love the gondola and bullrush shot.

Yes Keith, I should have added some color to the plaster, but finally the rest of scenery, grass, bushes or whatever will cover the few spots, so they will slowly disappear by time.
Next to do is ballast, greenery and install the building to fill the coal into the cars. It will be something like that: http://www.cohs.org/repository/Archi...b/cspr-321.jpg The mine somewhere uphill and the coal coming down by conveyor or similar.

Wow, that's a great layout you have there.
I really like the oil fueling station. Do you have any approximate dimensions? What did you use for the pipework, flanges, pump etc? John |

Thanks for your interest John.
For the dimensions I'll have to get them as the tank itself dictated the length and width. The tank is of an old Life-Like tank car, the piping is diam. 5mm plastic I used heat to form the bends, flanges are washers for M5 screws, the refill pump is a funny mix of a Kadee coupler box 2 brake cylinders and wheel from a car, the refill tube to couple to an oil tank car is 1,5mm2 cable. The Locomotive oil-filler-crane is plastic tubing, washers and a chain. Here the tank and the filler crane ![]() The filler crane which base is from a broken Faller water crane ![]() The structure is wood. I'll get you the dimensions for wednesday.
