Default Couple of projects I would like to share

I have 2 projects that I would like to share. I recently posted them on my blog so I will link to them here instead of re-posting the huge articles.

The first is Smittie's Engine Shed. It is scratch built from the ground up.

The second is an article on how I built my Granite Block Retaining Walls. It is more of a scenic item than a scratch built building so I hope it is not too out of place in this section.

I hope you enjoy them.

Very nice projects there Randy, especially the retaining walls.

Thanks for sharing Randy.

Interesting use of floor tiles and very informative, I would never have thought of that. Now, I wonder what I could do with that pile of ceramic tiles in the garage

Chris.

Wonderful work on the retaining wall! I love to see creative ways of using everyday materials. I think I will try it out, I have some spare Linoleum from when we built the backdrop.

I think the tile might work...the rough edge would have a very good texture...that would be a great re-use! Couple of thoughts come to mind...(1) would the thickness of the tile be 'scale correct'?...(2) the process of cutting the tile into little block might be a challenge.....(3) if the tile has a shiny smooth surface the glue might not adhere well. its worth a try b/c you won't know for certain till you. let me know how that works out.
